London NepalBhasha Class

18th July 2019, London

Pasa Puchah Guthi UK London resumed its Nepalbhasha classes after a gap of eleven years. A total of six enthusiastic students attended the first day of the training which ran for two hours at the Meeting room of Monty’s Restaurant, Ealing Broadway.

On the first day of NepalBhasha class, the students covered ‘Formal NepalBhasha Terminologies’. They were trained in using important words to be used in formal speeches and text. The classes were run using English transliteration without the need of learning Devnagari script.

General secretary of PPGUK London, Mr Sandeep Shrestha informed that the classes will be conducted on the third Thursday of every month from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM. He further informed that students will be able to complete their online assignments every week on PPGUK London’s official website www.ppguk.org.

Their assignments will be marked every week by Culture Secretary Ms Pranisha Shakya. Students who achieve the required level in speaking, reading and writing Nepalbhasha by end of the year will be certified by PPGUK London with details of the modules covered. Eligible adults will also be recommended for University level education.

Throughout this year-long course, the classes will be free of cost to all students. While the first class was conducted by PPGUK London President Mr Sanyukta Shrestha, there is volunteering opportunity for interested individuals in order to conduct various specific modules from the course. With increasing number of students, the class will be organised into smaller groups of various age groups and competency levels.
