Pasa Puchah Guthi UK (PPGUK) London organised an annual summer picnic 2022 on 17th July 2022 at Parliament Hill Park, London. A total of 76 Guthi members were present in the picnic, which ran between 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
The event started with a welcome speech by General Secretary, Ms Pranisha Shakya, who also briefed about the activities for the day. President of PPGUK London, Ms Rukmani Manandhar then welcomed all the guests to the event.
On a nice sunny afternoon, the picnic was full of activities for both kids and adults such as face painting, traditional quoits game and bingo.
Miss Nirvika Joshi, 7 years old guthi member, made some bracelets, dog, flower, fish, nail polish etc from craft pipe cleaner and sold them during the event. The money collected was donated into Guthi Account.
All the guests were served, delicious Newah meal set which included Samayebaji, Aalu Chhwon, Choye-laa, Bhuti, Bara, Mixed Achar and eggs. The main meal was followed by Dhau and Jeri for dessert. Food and the hospitality were highly praised by all the guests, who mentioned that they were looking forward to similar events in future as well. After the food and games, guthi members interacted with each other.
The event was concluded with a group picture of all the guthi members present in the picnic. and a thank you note from the General Secretary.
