He then handed the program in the hands of General Secretary, Ojesh Singh. General Secretary presented the report on fulfillment and the short comings of the year 2004/05. He highlighted, as with all newly formed committee, this newly formed young committee, there is always areas of improvement and shortcomings that the committees are faced with. But pointed out a critical acclaim is the essence of future development and if received this we are on the road to building something. Overall he believed PPGUK received that acclaim and without the help of all the members and non members at these events the executive committee PPGUK would not have been what they are now.
He listed the five major events and activities of the year 2004/05, naming
Picnic in August
Table Tennis in September
Mha Puja in November
Talk program in London University SOAS in November
‘Have your say’ Day.

He said he believed Picnic and Mha Puja was the major successful program of the past year with Mha Puja being attended by Chief Guest from Nepal Mr. Padma Ratna Tuladhar. But pointed out extra expenses was met. And also highlighted Table tennis competition needs to be improved a lot and so has to be the ‘Have Your Say’ Day.

After the reports by Treasurer, there was some discussion about the Guthi’s Shortcomings. Mr. Uttam Amatya criticized about the loss in last Mha Puja Program for which treasurer Om Pradhan Replied the committee will bare the loss but pointed out it was because some extra cost was met due bringing Chief Guest all the way from Nepal but he also promised to make next Mha Puja a more profitable one, when Asked how he replied he , PPGUK have planned to organize the even on the Mha Puja Day itself which is on Wednesday, a week day for which Hall hiring cost is half what is for the week end and he also highlighted of not having any plans of bringing any other chief guest from Nepal, which will save more money.

When questioned about not having enough members he replied of the plans being made on the benefits of the members and the memberships forms could be obtained from the Guthi’s official website www.ppguk.org.

A question was raised about the death body of a Newah woman Rajamati Rajbahak, for which General Secretary said Guthi do not have enough fund to support everybody financially but promised everything other than financial help will be provided by Guthi for the ritual cremation of the body. And he also said the president, Ishor Manandhar has taken the responsibility for the all the procedure. When complain aroused about not receiving the bulletin, Joint Secretary, Kedar Maharjan ,urged everybody not only to rely on post for the information but also to check out the emails and website. For which Mr. Sushil Singh from NepaliSamajuk added that even in www.Nepalisamajuk.com had a link to Pasa Puchah Guthi’s website.

After the discussion, the Guthi was supposed to introduce the new members of the Guthi but due to the late arrival of the member due to their work it was left until next executive committee meeting.

General Secretary later notified everybody of Newari Classes and Newari library to start from Mha Puja at Queensland College Acton.

The president thanked everybody who have helped Pasa Puchah Guthi and thanked everybody for attending the meeting.

Refreshments were provided by the Guthi at the end of the meeting.
